Last summer I was selling my jewelry at a craft show when a man approached my table.
"Beautiful work." he said. "But shouldn’t you be doing your homework."
"My homework?" I asked, "I don’t have any homework, I’m finished with school."
"Don’t you think you should be in school?" he asked.
"Oh, I’m done with school" I replied.
"You’re done?"
"Yes, I’m done." I said, as I handed him my business card. "If you ever need an attorney, here’s my card."

what did the man say after he read your business card? my bet is, he said "hmmmph!" and walked away because he was embarrassed.
My daughter had similar experiences right after she graduated w/ her PhD in Pharmacy and was working with MDs. she tended to bristle when they patted her on the head .... I told her, relax! you've got a 20 second advantage - use it!!
